Math / MaximumViewHelper

Math: Maximum

Gets the highest number in array $a or the highest number of numbers $a and $b. /

  • Tag usage example

    <v:math.maximum a="[mixed]" fail="1" b="[mixed]">
    	<!-- tag content - may be ignored! -->
  • Inline usage example

    {v:math.maximum(a: [mixed], fail: 1, b: [mixed])}


Argument Description Type

First number for calculation


Second number or Iterator/Traversable/Array for calculation


If TRUE, throws an Exception if argument "a" is not specified and no child content or inline argument is found. Usually okay to use a NULL value (as integer zero).

    [TASK] Make "b" argument on math.minimum and .maximum optional
    When "a" is an array, max() and min() will work with just the array as argument. The ViewHelper, however, required a "b" argument which could never be NULL and thus prevented using only the "a" argument.
